Santa at The Christmas Forrest

This year we went to the Christmas Forrest at the Red Lion. Chris and Jessica got tickets for free and Shelbi was dancing two solo's for the Dance Direction so we decided to go. It was a charity event where several completely decked out Christmas Trees were lined up around the room for people to bid on in a silent auction. The Children's Museum sponsored a handful of crafts for kids, they had live entertainment, and of course Santa was there. Eli was so very coy as he walked up to Santa. Santa had very long conversations with each family of kids that had a visit with him. Jacob went right up and was excited the whole time. Seth just kept saying, "It's just a guy in a suit! Right, Eli?" That wasn't my fault, I swear I didn't tell him that, he just decided that the REAL Santa doesn't have time to come to this city right now. It just had me laughing but I was trying to quiet him down just in case other parents would be upset.

Mary, Rosie, and Jason came also with my mom. Jason watched the movie Cars most of the time, but he seemed to have no interest in anything that was going on around him. Oh, wait. He did like some of the dancing. Mary and Rosie enjoyed the crafts, visiting with cousins, getting their faces painted, the dancing, and took a turn on Santa's lap.

My favorite was seeing Claire on Santa's lap for the first time. She looks calm in this shot, but she did not like it when her mommy sat her on his lap and moved away. She was in the cutest outfit ever and Santa kept calling her a little guy. Look at the pink flowers on her legs. It was very funny!

That sounds like a lot of fun. I can't wait to get pictures of Gwenevere sitting on Santa's lap. Your boys are so cute.
